Renewable Portfolio Standards in Energy Policy: A Policy Analysis for the State of New Hampshire

At the request of the NH Legislature, two PRS students and a graduate student, conducted a policy analysis on Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) in energy policy. An RPS is a policy mandate that a given proportion of power supplied by retail electricity providers be derived from approved renewable sources. The study provides background information on RPS policy as well as lessons learned from other states that have implemented such policies. The three traveled to Concord on April 5th to present their findings the the NH House Science, Technology and Energy Committee.
